5 Time saver firefox plugins for desingers and developers

23 Nov

Years before web designers had a hard life with the browsers that was used only to view the sites and need to wait for a long time for the next update but now most of the browsers are having plugin features. Firefox is the best of those browsers with plenty of plugins available to use and for web designers and web developers it was an eye opener. Myself being a web designer i use 5 plugins which makes my work easier and time saver too. I have mentioned those plugins below, give them a try…

Web Developer Tool Bar

This is one of the best plugin in designers perspective. Almost all the small tools required in different times are loaded in to this plugin and that too neatly classified so that you need not search for any options. Once you start seeing those options you will be really excited. It will take half of your worries.

We really need to thank Chrispederick for his wonderful work.

Fire Bug

If you are both designer and developer then this plugin will reduce the remaining worries and make your R & D easier. With this tool you can easily see your generated view source code and make changes to it and see the changes reflected instantly. It is the real beauty of this plugin. Click the bug icon in status bar and start selecting or search the element with the inbuilt options and try your changes in the generated HTML, CSS and Javascript code displayed.

Thanks to Firebug Team for the wonderful work.

In some cases you might need to take a screenshot of particular area of a page and add some marks or comments in that image to communicate something because a “picture is worth of 1000 words” but you wont be having any image editing software. To get it done you will be using Ms Paint by default which wont be easy to insert comments or move around things. Fireshot will solve those problems. It is very easy and has lots of options required to insert comments in a image.

In adavu we have already discussed about this plugin colorzilla. Using this plugin we can get a color code of a particular element or content in a webpage. It shows both RGB and Hexadecimal color code along with tag name. The plugin also has a inbuilt color picker and zoom control. This makes the job easy when a content is very small.

If you want to try out applying some colors to a particular content or element then color picker will make it easy for you. Just detect the element or content using firebug then click on the color code and select your color from the color picker which will appear below the color code. Instantly the color will get applied, so you can try different colors easily and finalize.

lol several of the comments bloggers enter are just absurd, over and over i question whether they in reality read the pieces and reports before placing a comment or whether they only skim the titles and compose the very first thing that drifts into their heads. anyways, it is actually pleasant to browse through clever commentary occasionally in contrast to the very same, traditional oppinion vomit that i almost always notice on the web cheers
